How the tool decides
Three routes are compared at equal budget: changing the graphics card alone, changing platform (processor, motherboard, memory), or replacing everything. Options that cost more without being faster are discarded, and the recommendation follows the chosen priority — the most FPS gained, or the best gain per euro spent.
What the estimate does not say
The FPS shown are an estimate per game and per resolution, capped by what the processor can keep up with: this is not a lab benchmark. Drivers, memory, case thermals and the game's own version all move the real result.
Power supply and compatibility
The wattage needed is recomputed for every proposal from the processor and graphics card draw, with a quarter of headroom, rounded up to the next 50 W. A power supply that is too tight is flagged before the purchase, not after the build.
