Best NVMe SSD under 150 €

Instant loading: NVMe SSDs under 150 € ranked by interface, throughput and capacity — in-stock models only, at today's prices.

Under 150 €, an NVMe SSD is chosen by use case first. As a system drive, the interface makes the everyday difference: a PCIe 4.0 model loads the system, games and large projects noticeably faster than Gen3 — and the product pages in this ranking state real read and write speeds, not unverifiable theoretical maximums. As a secondary drive, price per gigabyte rules: a generous Gen3 does exactly the same job there. Useful capacity now sits between 1 and 2 TB; below that, recent games fill the drive within a few installs. Also look at the stated endurance when it appears on the page: it says how many writes the drive can absorb over its lifetime. The ranking only keeps references that are in stock, ordered at today's prices. One practical note: a Gen4 drive works in a Gen3 slot at Gen3 speeds, so nothing blocks a future motherboard upgrade — and most boards cool the primary slot with their own heatsink.

How this ranking is computed

The index orders drives by interface first — PCIe 4.0 outranks Gen3 at equal capacity — then by stated read and write speeds, and finally by capacity at the best price. Stated endurance breaks ties when it appears on the product page. In-stock references only, at today's prices.

Limitations to keep in mind

Manufacturer speeds are burst maximums: on a very large transfer, a drive without dedicated cache memory can slow well below its spec sheet. That effect cannot be read from the specifications and is therefore not scored here. For office and gaming use, it is rarely perceptible.

If you are new to this

"NVMe" means an SSD shaped like a card, plugged straight into the motherboard — no cable. "Gen3" and "Gen4" are speed generations: the machine boots and loads faster on Gen4, but Gen3 is still very fast. "1 TB" is roughly the space of 8 to 12 big recent games.
